On Feb 12, 2025, Motor Officer Kies was involved in an on-duty crash and suffered a broken wrist, fractured elbow, broken ribs, and a severe concussion. Boys in Blue presented him with our "Beyond the Call of Duty" award.

On Sept. 3, Officer Haney and his partner were responding to reports of a suspect breaking into a vehicle. A chase ensued and the two officers were met with gunfire. Officer Haney survived the shooting and was honored with the Boys in Blue "Beyond the Call of Duty" award.

On Sept. 3, Officer Coolidge and his partner were responding to reports of a suspect breaking into a vehicle. A chase ensued and the two officers were met with gunfire. Officer Coolidge passed away from his injuries on Sept 6, 2025. The Boys in Blue LEMC presented his widow and young daughter with a flag, a memorial shadow box, a financial donation, and a memorial Teddy Bear.

On Aug 13th, 2024 Pima Co Sheriffs Deputy A. Gonzalez was shot and injured in the line of duty. Today the Boys in Blue LEMC was privileged to honor him for his bravery during the incident and throughout his recovery. Retired PCSD Corrections Lt Dan Brown also presented Dep Gonzalez with one of our challenge coins.
February 2nd, 2025
William Cody Treatch, a 26-year-old firefighter recruit for the Rural Metro Fire Department in Tucson, Arizona, died from a heat-related emergency on August 23, 2024. The Boys in Blue LEMC presented his family with a Flag, a memorial shadow box, and a financial donation.
June 2, 2024 Presentation
On March 31, 2024 Tucson P.D. Officer Buckner was responding to a call when a vehicle ran a red light, striking Officer Buckner’s vehicle. The officer’s vehicle then collided with a traffic signal pole. Officer Buckner did not survive the accident. His widow, Catie Buckner, was presented with a flag presentation and donation.
May 28, 2024 Presentation
On May 8, 2024 Phoenix Officer Slavik responded to a service station/quick market on a trespass call. Officer Slavik made contact with the suspect who produced an knife and stabbed Officer Slavik in the neck.
Both officers received our “Beyond the Call of Duty” certificates and a monetary award from both the Boys In Blue LEMC and the Fraternal Order of Police.

On November 14, 2023 U.S. Border Patrol Agent Freddy Ortiz was killed in a vehicle accident while responding to a call for assistance.
The Boys In Blue LEMC presented Freddy’s "love of his life,” Crystal, with a flag presentation and donation.

In December 2023, Pima County Sheriff’s Deputies Wells and McEuen, were injured in an officer involved shooting.
The Boys In Blue LEMC presented both deputies with our “Beyond the Call of Duty” award.

On September 28, 2023, Cochise County Sheriff’s Deputy Oletski was seriously injured while trying to stop a smuggler traveling northwest of Bisbee, Arizona.
The Boys In Blue LEMC presented their “Beyond the Call of Duty” award in honor of Deputy Oletski.

On October 17, 2023, in Tucson, AZ, Federal Agent Peter Lynn, assigned to the U.S. Marshals Service Task Force, was shot in a drive-by shooting.
The Boys In Blue LEMC presented him with their “Beyond the Call of Duty” award.
August 31, 2024 Presentation
Phoenix Arizona Officer Estrella was seriously injured in the line of duty. He was awarded our Beyond the Call of Duty award and donation.

Scottsdale Arizona Police Detective So made the ultimate sacrifice. His family was awarded our Fallen Hero award and donation.
